Our flying field was acquired in 1981 when Col. Bob Hall and Charles Culver expertly negotiated terms with the US Army Corps of Engineers leading to our first lease. When Col. Hall passed away in January 1986, the flying field was named in his Honor. Today it is known as “Hall Field”. The pavilion was built in 1993 by the club members using their own funds and donations, no tax dollars were used. It provides beautiful sunshade for the pilots, guests and is a great place for a family picnic on weekends. John H. Brian, one of the oldest club members, passed away in 1996. The pavilion was named in his honor and is today known as the “John H. Brian Pavilion”
